What are Kaizer Chiefs trying to achieve? asks Pitso Mosimane

Pitso Mosimane is back on the market after a short stint with Abha Club but the likelihood is that he is not joining Kaizer Chiefs

Despite reports linking him with a move to Naturena, it appears as if ‘Jingles’ never held talks with the Motaungs. The former Bafana Bafana coach had had several coaching jobs in the Middle East in the past two years. His last job was with Abha Club but his contract ended two weeks ago when he failed to help the team avoid relegation

Since returning to South Africa, Mosimane has not shied away from his potential move to Kaizer Chiefs. The 59-year-old said the Soweto Giants have not approached him but confirmed he might take the job if offered. Amakhosi had three opportunities to sign Jingles but instead chose to bring in less experienced coaches.

Mosimane responds to Kaizer Chiefs rumours yet again

Chiefs have been heavily linked to former Yanga FC coach Nasreddine Nabi in the past few days. The Tunisian is currently in Morocco coaching FAR Rabad but the club has reportedly given him the green light to join Chiefs.

Mosimane on the other hand, said he hasn’t received any formal offer from Kaizer Chiefs.

“I have not heard anything from the [MT Sports] office, but also, I don’t want to come across as if I am throwing the club under the bus,” Mosimane said as quoted by Sowetan.

“Taking any job requires a lot of details, like what are [Chiefs] trying to achieve? How are they going to turn things around? What sort of investment will be made and for how long?”

Jingles could head to North Africa

With Mosimane not on the radar, Kaizer Chiefs supporters have to accept Nabi as the main front-runner for the Khosi job. Pitso has since been linked to Moroccan outfit Wydad Casablanca.
