Nondumiso Shazi, a beloved radio personality from Ukhozi FM, has sadly passed away.

NONDUMISO SHAZI: CAUSE OF DEATH

TshisaLIVE reports the tragic news that Nondumiso Shazi, who hosted Ukhozi FM’s Vumelani Abantwana Beze Kimi, has passed away at the age of 33.

Shazi reportedly died on November 21 at Addington Hospital in Durban after suffering from headaches and tremors for the past month.

The SABC’s spokesperson, Mmoni Seapolelo, shared the sadness felt by Ukhozi FM management and staff regarding Shazi’s untimely passing.

“Shazi began her journey with the SABC in June 2023 and significantly contributed to the public service mandate through her programming efforts. Her absence will be keenly felt by colleagues, friends, and her listeners. It’s important to clarify that she did not collapse while on air, as has been alleged,” Seapolelo stated.

Shazi is the fifth Ukhozi FM presenter to pass away this year, following the deaths of Bonga Ndaba, Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule, Bheka “Beekay” Mchunu, and Irvin Sihlophe.

The South African will provide updates on her memorial and funeral arrangements soon.
