KAIZER CHIEFS PLAYERS LINKED WITH EXITS
As per Soccer Laduma, Happy Mashiane, the adored left-back of Amakhosi, is set to see his contract expire in June. The report also indicates that SuperSport United and AmaZulu are interested in acquiring his services.
Moreover, there are rumors suggesting that coach Nabi may consider Sibongiseni Mthethwa as surplus to requirements.
SEKHUKHUNE UNITED TO SIGN SIYANDA XULU?
Former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns defender Siyanda Xulu, who is still 32, has had stints with eight different clubs.
The Durban-born defender kicked off his career at Mamelodi Sundowns before moving to Rostov (Russia), Kaizer Chiefs, Maritzburg United, Hapoel Tel Aviv (Israel), Turan Tovuz (Azerbaijan), and SuperSport United.
Since parting ways with SuperSport United before the season began, Xulu is reportedly close to sealing a deal with Babina Noko.
A close source informed the Citizen that Xulu had contemplated a return abroad prior to Sekhukhune United’s interest in the former Kaizer Chiefs defender.
“Siyanda had prospects of going back overseas even before he joined SuperSport, but that seems to be on hold now with Sekhukhune showing enthusiasm for him,” the source stated.
“He would bring valuable experience to the squad and can support coach (Lehlohonolo) Seema, who has been performing admirably. Football dynamics shift rapidly, so it’s possible that another team might approach him; we’ll have to wait and see,” the source added.
