Death Toll Rises to 8 in Tragic KwaZulu-Natal Bus Accident

Durban – The toll of church members who perished in a bus accident on Sunday along the N2 between Mandeni and Stanger has risen to eight.

The bus, transporting church members from Richards Bay to Shakaskraal, crashed following a tire failure.

Initially, reports indicated that six individuals had lost their lives, but an update from local authorities confirmed that another person had succumbed to their injuries.

Shortly thereafter, the eighth victim also lost their fight for survival.

KwaZulu-Natal Transport and Human Settlements MEC Siboniso Duma has extended his heartfelt condolences to the families affected by this tragedy.
