Tommy Fury announces his return to boxing with a surprise opponent after overcoming the biggest challenge of his career
TOMMY FURY has revealed he will return to the boxing ring in Budapest on May 9.
The 25-year-old fighter has been inactive since his win over KSI in October 2023.

With an immaculate record of 10-0, Fury is set to make his eagerly awaited comeback next month, though his opponent remains undisclosed.
In an Instagram update announcing the comeback, TNT stated: “Two years without fighting. One operation.”
“The hardest obstacle I’ve faced has been the mental challenge of being away from the ring.”
“However, I’m returning stronger, sharper, and more HUNGARY than ever.”
“May 9th, Budapest… It’s time to show what I’ve got. Let’s go!”
Prior to his bout with KSI, Fury achieved a narrow split decision victory over Jake Paul in February 2023.
Paul’s team alleges that Fury declined a $6 million (£4.5 million) rematch offer on Netflix last year.
A representative from Paul’s camp recently hinted that TNT will not be receiving any more substantial offers for a rematch.

Paul’s promotional partner Nakisa Bidarian informed SunSport: “Tommy was given an incredible chance to headline a fight against Jake on Netflix, but they miscalculated expectations.”
“Jake won’t make him that kind of proposal again. If Tommy Fury went to Jake and said, ‘Here’s $20 million to fight me, and I’m going to make $20 million,’ good for him.”
“But they never extended a single offer, while we made multiple efforts to set up that rematch.”
“If you truly believe in your chances against Jake Paul, you should have eagerly accepted the chance to fight him for $6 million along with Netflix earnings.”
“It’s frankly ridiculous that they didn’t.”
While Fury has been on a significant break, Paul has kept himself busy in the boxing arena.
Since his only career defeat to TNT, Paul has triumphed over Nate Diaz, Andre August, Ryan Bourland, Mike Perry, and even Mike Tyson.
Fury was previously slated to face Darren Till on January 18 in Manchester but unexpectedly withdrew after Till threatened to “kick” him in the head.
The former UFC fighter remained on the card and went on to defeat Anthony Taylor instead.
