Thierry Henry is Pleased with Leny Yoro’s Reaction after Man Utd Concedes a Goal to Newcastle

A BAFFLED Thierry Henry admitted that he has “never seen” anything quite like what Leny Yoro showcased against Newcastle.

The young French defender played the full match at St James’ Park on Sunday.

The Magpies showcased their dominance with a decisive 4-1 victory over Ruben Amorim’s troubled Red Devils.

However, it was Yoro, just 19 years old, who left Henry speechless after Newcastle’s third goal – the second for Barnes.

Barnes capitalized on a blunder from Noussair Mazraoui, racing past three United defenders before finding the top corner.

Players from United—Manuel Ugarte, Victor Lindelof, and Christian Eriksen—could only hang their heads in despair.

Meanwhile, Yoro inexplicably turned to the assistant referee, seemingly seeking a flag.

No foul was indicated in the slip, and offside was clearly not a possibility, rendering Yoro’s hopeful glance completely pointless.

Henry, who shares the same nationality, expressed his disappointment.

During Monday Night Football, the former Arsenal striker stated: “Look at Yoro and what he’s appealing for.”

“I can’t comprehend why… I don’t understand what he’s expecting.”

“He’s glancing at the linesman as if he’s hoping for a lifeline… for what, I cannot say.”

“I’m not sure if he thought there was an offside, or if he thought that someone – I – we – I don’t know.

“We all see it as a goal. What are you looking at?

“I truly don’t understand it. I’ve never witnessed that before.”

“We all agree it’s a goal.”

Jamie Carragher remarked that Henry’s exaggerated reaction would likely become a viral meme.

‘RIDICULOUS STUFF’

Nonetheless, fans expressed their irritation with the former player’s commentary, feeling it mocked Yoro.

One user commented: “I respect Henry, but this is absurd. He froze a clip just to make a cheap joke at a young center-back. If Yoro were playing for Fulham or Palace, they wouldn’t even think of using this type of ‘analysis.’

Another remarked: “What type of commentary is this? I appreciate Henry’s insight, but this is not it!”

A third user added: “Belittling a young player and overreacting simply because he’s currently in the spotlight is ridiculous.”

A fourth individual stated: “Henry’s behavior is genuinely strange; targeting a young player this way is odd, especially considering defenders do this after every goal I’ve seen. It’s likely scripted to generate clicks, which it certainly has.”

Lastly, another user mused: “Defenders often instinctively look at linesmen. Henry knows this. He’s just playing to the audience by ripping apart a teenager using a freeze frame.”

Man Utd ratings vs Newcastle as Zirkzee shines before injury while replacement for dropped Onana has a disastrous outing

MANCHESTER UNITED’s worst Premier League season ever was confirmed with a 4-1 defeat to Newcastle.

The Red Devils are now set to finish with fewer than 56 points, which would mark their lowest total in Premier League history.

To reach that figure, they must win EVERY remaining match.

If they aren’t cautious, they could even find themselves in 17th place—just a step above the relegation zone.

This was yet another grim day, reflective of a disappointing season for United, as Newcastle easily exploited their weaknesses in the second half.

Ruben Amorim chose to bench goalkeeper Andre Onana after his poor performance against Lyon earlier in the week.

However, replacement Altay Bayindir also had a nightmarish outing.

Sandro Tonali’s volley, a brace from Harvey Barnes, and a goal from Bruno Guimaraes countered Alejandro Garnacho’s solitary goal.
