Unai Emery’s team found themselves down 2-1 at halftime, but quickly turned things around at the start of the second half with goals from John McGinn and Ezri Konsa.
Despite their efforts, they were unable to find the crucial equalizer to push the match into extra time, ultimately losing 5-4 on aggregate.
During halftime, Seedorf joined former England striker Wayne Rooney on Prime Video to discuss the first 45 minutes.
PSG had jumped to a 2-0 lead early in the match thanks to quick breaks culminating in goals from Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes.
The former Netherlands international pointed out Cash and Digne’s inadequate defensive commitment and lack of tracking back in such a pivotal game.
Seedorf remarked: “The full-backs showed a total lack of effort. This attitude is completely unacceptable.
“They aren’t prioritizing the need to fall back alongside the entire defensive structure.
“Support for one another and assisting the goalkeeper with second ball situations are all vital elements.

“At times, it seemed like they were outnumbered three to two, which is unforgivable at this level.”
The two goals conceded in the first half made all the difference, allowing PSG to maintain their advantage after a thrilling first leg in Paris where they had already won 3-1.
Aston Villa awkwardly played the WRONG anthem before their Champions League quarter-final against PSG
Rooney echoed Seedorf’s sentiments, observing that the Villa defense appeared too exposed during the early moments of the match.
The former England striker noted: “Marcus Rashford mishandles a first touch and loses possession, but as a forward, you shouldn’t expect to concede from that position.
“I think Kamara should stay central, but he takes a risk.
“At that point, Matty Cash doesn’t recover quickly enough.
“It’s a dangerous scenario for PSG to capitalize on now.
“Hakimi makes a run inside, and Digne fails to track him. It’s a brilliantly executed goal by PSG, but careless from Villa.”
