Ranking Premier League Clubs by Matchday Arrests for Class A Drugs: Where Does Your Team Stand?

Latest data reveals that the highest number of arrests for Class A drugs on match days in Premier League stadiums occurred at the venues of Manchester United and Manchester City.

The troubling league statistics from the past two seasons also point to West Ham, Liverpool, and Newcastle as significant offenders.

The Manchester clubs together represent one in five of all Class A drug arrests across the 20 Premier League venues.

Authorities recorded 15 arrests at both the Etihad Stadium and Old Trafford.

Among Premier League locations, one in seven arrests is associated with Class A drugs.

A total of 54 arrests took place in the 2022-23 season, compared to 99 in the previous year.

Ipswich was the only club with no arrests reported.

According to data from the Home Office, analyzed by the betting service TipMan Tips, “These figures highlight that drug possession is a crucial concern for all Premier League clubs.”

“They emphasize the importance of police presence at football matches to prevent drugs from entering stadiums.

“However, there are worries that many individuals may avoid detection while attempting to smuggle illegal substances into football venues.”
