Senior DPP Official Charged with Rape of 16-Year-Old Boy
A 47-year-old senior official from the Limpopo division of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has been brought before the court on two charges of rape.
The allegations are related to several instances of sexual abuse inflicted on the victim, which began in 2022.

Case Adjourned
The hearing has been rescheduled for May 8 to allow for profiling and a possible bail application.

The court rejected Matroos’s assertion that the sexual encounters were consensual.
