After Hamilton’s departure following 12 years with Toto Wolff to pursue his dream of racing for Ferrari, Antonelli assumed his responsibilities.

As Mercedes shares the same motorhome for European events, Antonelli finally read the letter upon his arrival on Thursday.

Reflecting on the note, the young Italian from Bologna, only a 30-minute drive from the Imola circuit, called it “motivational.”

Antonelli remarked: “It reveals a lot about who Lewis is as a person. I could truly see his human side, apart from just being a driver.”

“Receiving a message from a legend of the sport genuinely warmed my heart.”

“He has accomplished so much and still exemplifies a commitment to giving his best. He stands among the all-time greats.”

“It was surreal. The letter included some advice that I plan to use as motivation to succeed—such chances are rare.”

When asked if he would keep the letter, Antonelli replied: “Definitely, it’s actually on my wall. I want it to stay there.”

“The message is so beautiful that it serves as a constant reminder every time I enter the room.”

Now making waves in F1, Antonelli is thrilled to share his accomplishments with friends from school.

During media day, he rolled out the red carpet for family and friends, giving them an exclusive glimpse of the trackside excitement in Imola.

He even celebrated in his hometown on Wednesday night as the local football team claimed their first trophy in over 50 years.

Antonelli is determined to surpass his record-breaking Sprint pole time set in Miami and is currently ranked just above Hamilton in sixth place in the drivers’ standings.
