Two Students Hurt During Confrontations with Police
The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has reported that two students were hospitalized following injuries sustained during clashes with law enforcement. Student leader Uzusiphe Vuzane informed the broadcaster that police allegedly used live ammunition to disperse the protestors.

“One student was shot in the left knee; another received a gunshot wound just above the heart near the shoulder,” reported Vuzane.
