Challenges in Manchester United’s Squad

Ruben Amorim, the manager of Manchester United, has been compelled to form an 18-player squad for the crucial Europa League match against Real Sociedad on Thursday.

A limited selection, which includes THREE goalkeepers, will be heading to Spain for the first leg of this Last-16 encounter.

According to UEFA rules, teams are allowed to submit a matchday squad of up to 23 players for their Europa League matches.

However, due to a series of injuries, only 18 players are making the trip to Anoeta, with the three goalkeepers being Andre Onana, Dermot Mee, and Elyh Harrison.

Harry Maguire and Manuel Ugarte have been added to the injury list, joining Altay Bayindir, Tom Heaton, Jonny Evans, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Kobbie Mainoo, Mason Mount, and Amad Diallo.
